Where Does Your Profession Fit In?
Each year, LRHS students meet with our counselors to complete a Career Interest Inventory through the Missouri Connections website. Missouri Connections is an online career planning program for students and adults funded by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Missouri Division of Workforce Development. Through the Career Interest Inventory, students create a Personal Plan of Study that helps to guide them academically to their personal and professional goals.
Missouri Connections offers six career clusters that help students to better identify the connections between what is learned in school and what is needed for success in college and careers.

Creating Your Career Day Presentation
Career Day is designed to give students career information about a variety of professions. The topics below are provided merely as guidance when planning your presentation. In your presentation, feel free to show off your work place, a typical day of work, or the tools of your trade. Presentations are scheduled to take 40 minutes, however, presentations of about 30 minutes should provide enough time to include the highlights of your profession while allowing time for student questions. Feel free to include follow-up information at the end of your presentation for students interested in more information about your career.
Please feel free to bring relevant supplemental materials, games, manipulatives, etc. to your session! We would love for your presentation to be hands on and encourage you to make it interactive if possible.
If you need a larger space and/or to be outside (weather permitting), please identify that in the presenter registration form. We will do whatever we can to accommodate to your needs!
